Until now, you had to Sign in to your Google Account on android.com/devicemanager and the remotely control your device. However, thanks to the recent update to the device manager, you will be able to log into someone’s Android Device Manager app, with your account, and track your device. This is more convenient than say carrying a laptop around town to track your device. I recall how awkward that was when I lost my Lumia running Windows Phone 8 but with similar feature called “find my phone”. Remember, you need to have enabled the device manager. To do that if you’ve not, simply go to “Google settings” on your device and then touch “Android Device Manager” then be sure to check “Remotely locate this device” and “Allow remote lock and factory reset”. For more detailed how to, please read this Google support page. So before it’s too late, go ahead and update your Android device manager app here.
